Between 2012 and 2024, CCRIF has provided 54 grants to support local communities, investing approximately US$3.9 million.

Apply today to access a grant. Here are some quick facts:

  • All registered NGOs, CBOs, charity or non-profit organizations and academic institutions (universities, colleges, schools) operating within local communities across CCRIF member countries in the Caribbean and/or CARICOM member countries are eligible for funding.
  • CCRIF funds small grant projects in one or more of the following categories:
  • Disaster risk management
  • Engineering related to DRM or climate change adaptation
  • Climate change adaptation
  • Nature based solutions and ecosystems-based adaptation projects
  • Environmental management initiatives that will directly reduce community vulnerability (e.g. watershed management projects, coastal zone management, wetland restoration etc.)
  • Training and other capacity building initiatives in the areas of disaster risk management, climate change adaptation (including areas such as climate smart agriculture), ecosystem restoration among others.
  • Project proposals for small grants may be submitted for consideration at any time during the year. They are evaluated quarterly. There is no specific call for proposals.
  • Proposals must be submitted electronically using the CCRIF Small Grants Programme online platform. The online system is configured for applicants to register and submit the proposal themselves.
