Don is the fourth named storm of the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season. It formed as a tropical storm on 17 July at 21:00 UTC, east of the Windward Islands. Don moved quickly westward within the strong trade-wide flow, reaching the southern Windward Islands on 19 July at 00:00UTC as a tropical storm. In the hours following, the storm degenerated in an open wave,moving over the far south-eastern Caribbean Sea. Don caused tropical-storm-force winds overGrenada and the Grenadines and locally intense rainfall over Barbados, the southern Windward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago and north-eastern Venezuela.
