Like 2024, the 2025 hurricane season is expected to have above-normal activity. Experts from the Colorado State University in their annual Atlantic hurricane season forecast predicted 17 named storms, with 9 expected to become hurricanes, and 4 forecasted to reach major hurricane strength (Category 3 or higher) during the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season which starts on June 1 and ends May 30.
As the season approaches, we urge everyone to be prepared. We encourage you to download the CCRIF publication titled "Be Prepared - Hurricane Preparedness Tips and Checklists for Households, Communities, and Small Businesses".

The Caribbean and Central American countries exist in a multihazard environment… we can be impacted simultaneously by one or more hazard. We need to always be prepared! Visit the CCRIF website for other resources.
