CCRIF’s Strategic Plan 2022 – 2025 has been produced at a time when the world and indeed our member governments and their populations continue to face unprecedented disruptive effects. Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is considered the region in the developing world that has been hardest hit by the pandemic, resulting in the worst economic contraction in the history of this region. This has been characterized by sharp increases in unemployment, which have had a knock-on effect on household incomes and the ability of families to meet basic needs.
The CCRIF Strategic Plan 2018 – 2021 is being implemented during a period in which CARICOM has declared its bold ambition to make the Caribbean the first climate-resilient zone in the world. CCRIF wishes to play its part in helping our region realize this stated ambition. Thus, as CCRIF enters its second decade of operations, additional financing and capital injection will be required to support growth and to facilitate scaling up – that is increasing coverage levels amongst existing members, adding new members and offering new products.
CCRIF’s 3rd Strategic Plan, which covers the period 2015 – 2018. In early 2015, the CCRIF Board and Team engaged in a two-day planning retreat to reflect on lessons learned over the past seven years and the many issues and challenges which our members face, as well as to review the progress made by the facility in meeting the needs of our members towards contributing to reducing vulnerabilities in these small island and coastal states.
This is CCRIF’s 2nd Strategic Plan, which covers the period 2013 – 2015. CCRIF’s first strategic plan covered the period 2009 – 2012, with this planning horizon approaching, in February 2012, the Board of Directors of CCRIF engaged in a two-day strategic planning retreat to chart the future of the Facility for a further three years (2013 to 2015).
CCRIF’s Strategic Plan 2009/10 to 2011/12 was developed during the 2009/10 fiscal year and revised in the 2010/11 fiscal year. This strategic plan was developed from the results of two strategic planning sessions – the first one in 2009 and the second in 2010. The first session involved a high level of visioning which enabled us to develop our vision and mission as well as the core strategic framework for CCRIF. The second session was designed to review the strategic plan and the organisation’s strategic framework. This document represents the revised strategic plan for CCRIF.
This report outlines the Strategic Plan for the CCRIF, which is a direct outcome of the retreat of the Board of Directors held in Miami, Florida on February 2 and 3, 2009.
